Progress Report, Day 5-9/100 - Rock, Paper, Puppies!
|Sep. 5th, 2006 03:47 pm Progress Report, Day 5-9/100|
Since it was the holiday weekend, I took a break from posting (that's my excuse anyway). But I did not take a break from the 100!
I had a ton of house stuff to do over the holiday weekend. All of it was accomplished except giving my puppy a bath. *poor stinky boy* Not that he minds a bit. He doesn't hate it, but he's not a huge fan of baths either. After all it means he has to stop running around, playing with toys and making all the mischief that puppies love to make.
I did work Saturday morning on writing – mostly revising (a.k.a. the necessary evil).
For the rest of the month my Saturdays look bleak. And Sundays look even bleaker as a make-up workday. It seems everyone I know and the dog has planned either a wedding, anniversary, shower, birthday, concert, party or other miscellaneous event for the month of September. All I have to say is spread the love to the other months people – please! *LOL*
Not to worry. I'll survive. I've already met the goals I set for the month, but I won't get a lot extra done. I'll be too busy going to *par-tay* for the rest of September. *let's dance*

Again, doing SO much better than me. Though I have kept, basically, to my 100 a day commitment. I decided that I would give myself 2 days off per week, and they could be floaters, since I can't always say that a weekend would allow me to do diddly. While you are FAR more fab than I and attending many more cool soirees, I have that teenaged kid and those three dogs and two cats, as well as the hubs, and for some reason they ALL want my attention. Soooo...
And, I'm so envious. You've already hit your goals for the month! If I limited my goals to "get out of bed, manage to function" I'd be firing on all cylinders this month. Other goals, not so much. So, for what seems like, and probably is, the 100th time in your blog, I again say, way to go!

I always set goals that are very attainable. Otherwise what is the point if I never accomplish anything. I have enough deadline angst at work figuring out how to do the job of 14.3 people every day. Yep that's me, an entire newsroom and development office crammed into the lovely me.
I'm ready to go home!
Gee, and you don't even work for IBM. I was just on a call where we were discussing how many jobs these poor souls I work with have to do, and, ergo, why they haven't been able to get to something deemed "important"...because it's not deemed "vitally urgent". Sigh. Hang in there, bay-bee, and don't let the demanding turkeys get you down!
